Life doesn’t always take you where you want to go, but somehow it always takes you where you need to be.
Ava Makenlie Baker,
you have changed my life in such a positive way, &you have changed my heart and soul to a point of no return. I didn’t know my heart could hold so much LOVE for one person. You are the sweetest little girl I’ve ever known, &you are loved more than you will ever know. Being your Mom, is better than I ever imagined, It is sweeter than I ever dreamed, &our bond is more precious than I ever hoped for. You are so dear to my heart. Watching you grow &learn more everyday, is so bittersweet. I am so proud of all the things you’ve learned in the last (almost) 2 years. But, I’d love to keep you little &to myself forever. I have so many wishes and dreams for the wonderful life you have ahead of you, &I know that you will do so many great things. Two things to always remember; Never forget where you came from. &Always remember the people who have loved you since day one. I love you forever and always, and no matter what.

Today, Ava and I packed up our new Picnic basket and met our friend Monica at the park for lunch. It was supposed to be above 80 degrees, but once we arrived at the park it was a little chilly, so we ate lunch under the gazebo on the lake. Ava got to watch the Ducks and feed them while she ate lunch too. Then, we headed to the playground for Ava, she ran around with all the other kids, flew down the slides, and had a blast! then, we came home put on Finding Nemo, and she fell asleep watching it. So, i got some of my cleaning and laundry done. I made dinner when she woke up, and went for a walk in our wagon, after cleaning up from dinner. The season finale of American Idol is on tonight from 8pm-10pm, so we’re baking cookies &staying up a little later to watch. She cracks me up, singing and dancing all over the living room, to all the music. 
got a cute new set of Fishy plates that I picked up from Ikea last weekend for $5.99 -adorable! Tomorrow, we have a fun day planned for the Afternoon, that I’m sure i’ll be blogging about later(:
So while I was out with Ava, on this rainy Tuesday Afternoon, we stopped at our local Michael’s store to pick up a wreath for us to do a craft with, (of course I saw it on Pintrest!) we picked up some silk flowers too, and this is what was supposed to happen
Cute, right? well, of course, I never time anything right, so it’s around 2:00 by the time we get home, which is nap time for my daughter Ava, and she hadn’t had lunch yet. So needless to say, she was a grump! It was impossible for me to even unload the bags we brought home of our craft supplies. So I said “Screw it!” and we did something a little more fun for Ava. 
A Princess Fairy, &Monkey fridge magnets. Ava picked them out while we were at Michael’s and we put the foam pieces together &used a little bit of Tacky glue..&there ya go!
Obviously, not what I had in mind for my ‘Rainy Day Craft’..but with a toddler, what does go as planned?
There are so many different kinds of Mom’s out there..
The soccer Mom, Class room party Mom, Crafty Mom’s etc..I, however am a Coupon Mom. My favorite day of the week is Sunday, that’s when the paper comes, full of free money, as I say. I can clip my coupons fast than Edward Scissorhands. LOL! It takes me a good 3 hours to clip all my coupons for the week, look over all the stores adds, and make a list of everything I need, and I don’t need, but can get for less than the retail price. I don’t think I ever pay full price for anything when I go grocery shopping, &I never leave without my coupon folder and a list. I can save so much money, yet come home with bags &bags of groceries and a full pantry. I guess you could say I’m a little proud of my hobby of saving my family money. One of my favorite places to coupon are CVS Pharmacy. They put ‘Extra Bucks’ in the paper and have their own Coupon Kiosk in store and have a loyalty card -which I love!
So today Ava and I went to CVS and did our couponing.. my list consisted of:
- 2 large cans of Coffee
- 3 bottles of hand soap
- 4 bottles of Garnier Fructis Shampoo
- 4 bottles of Garnier Fructis Conditioner
- 6 packs of Pampers baby wipes
- 2 bottles of Crest whitening Toothpaste
- 4 -12 packs of Diet coke
- 7 boxes of rice &pasta sides
Retail, all of this costs over $100, but after all of my coupons, store deals, BOGO, and extra bucks..it was ALL FREE!! CVS actually ended up PAYING ME 4 CENTS!! I made money for using coupons. YES, I’m proud!

Today was wonderful.. Alex took the day off to spend with his girls, & we had a blast together. Alex got up before, Ava or me, and made us a big breakfast, -eggs and bacon and toast. It was delicious! then we got dressed for the day; & by dressed, I mean, we put our bathing suits and trunks on, and headed outside! it was gorgeous outside! we got out Ava’s new Little Tikes water and sand table, for the second time, and she absolutely loves it! We bought some extra little boats for her to play with, but we still need to buy sand!! so until then, we’re filling both sides of the water table up with water. LOL! we turned the sprinkler on, and ran around the backyard spraying each other with the hose, and running though the water. by Noon, we were all soaking wet &starving! So since Daddy made breakfast, Mommy treated Daddy and Ava to lunch! I made chicken salad sandwiches and soup & a fresh batch of Cherry Koolaid! yum! I laid Ava down for a nap, while Alex went for a run. I ended up falling asleep with Ava for TWO HOURS! (this never happens!) when I woke up, Alex was standing there with 3 melting, dripping ice cream cones(: -the last thing my butt needs LOL. But, it was yummy &a perfect way to cool off on a warm day like today. We made dinner together, Ava took a bath, then Mommy got to take a bath &Ava fell asleep in our bed, while we watched The Bachelorette. With all that said, I am a very blessed girl and a very happy momma. Goodnight!
